It’s with great pleasure that I can say that Golden Dog is open for business. I’ve worked for a few companies and agencies over the years, having the privilege of doing work for companies like Games Workshop, Naked Wines and Volkswagen. During that time, I’ve worked alongside some brilliant people – designers, project managers and developers alike – but the time has come for me to try a venture of my own.
A little bit about myself
My name is Steve. I was born in Norwich, but as part of a RAF family growing up I’ve lived in a few different places (including abroad in Germany and the Netherlands). After all that travelling though, my wife and I are now settled back in Norwich with our golden retriever, Joey (the inspiration behind the Golden Dog name).
I didn’t take the usual journey that a web developer takes. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design and Motion Graphics from University Of Suffolk (then University Campus Suffolk), but I’ve always had the itch for web design – when I was 10, I’d lock myself in the room with the computer and make little websites in Microsoft Frontpage just for myself. During the university course, I looked for any excuse to justify including a web element in the project so that I could do both the design and learn coding as I went. Since then, I’ve gone on to do multiple design and development projects for a variety of clients.
Alright, wrap it up now, we’ve heard enough…
I’ve learned a lot from all the wonderful people I’ve been lucky enough to work with, and now I’m looking to apply that knowledge to help companies get online and put their best foot forward. Whether you are a startup needing “The Works”, a solo entrepreneur looking to dip a toe into a market, or even a company that is established but wants a fresh coat of corporate paint (or, you know, just a nice new set of business cards) – Golden Dog is here to help.
So, in the words of every developer’s first foray into the world of coding – “Hello World!”
